Obituary of Eleanor Pepicello

Eleanor J. Pepicello Eleanor J. Pepicello of Erie, age 89, ended her life's journey peacefully on May 10, 2009. She was born on April 20, 1920, daughter of the late Dominic and Laurina DiPaolo. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1938 and was employed at Erie Resistor Corporation. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and playing cards, but most importantly her family- children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She took great comfort in her faith and spent many hours praying the Rosary. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony J. "Tony" Pepicello and all of her siblings- Maina Ciampaglione, Pat DiPaolo, Tony DiPaolo, Louise Covatto, Josephine Touris, and Rose Morabito. She is survived by three sons, James A. Pepicello, M.D. and his wife Sheryl of Erie, Richard M. Pepicello and his wife Kathleen of Columbus, Ohio, and Anthony P. Pepicello and his wife Cheryl of Erie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and multiple other family and friends. Friends may call at The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank or Hamot Second Century Fund.
