Grace C. Lucas Grace C. Lucas, age 82, of Erie, formerly of Tonawanda, NY and a resident of Niagara Village died suddenly Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born in Clifton Springs, NY on August 18, 1926, the daughter of the late, George K. and Helen Schaefer Abel. Grace moved from Tonawanda, NY in 2004. She was a member of the church choir at St. Edmunds R.C. Church in Tonawanda and was involved with their Senior's Club. She enjoyed her piano, doing crosswords and puzzle making. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Steve S. Lucas (2003). She is survived by her children: Steven G. Lucas of Erie, Carol L. Paciorek of Chula Vista, CA, one sister, Helen Wang of Oceanside, CA, two brothers: Arthur Abel of Rochester, NY, George Abel of Los Gatos, CA, four grandchildren: Laura Paciorek of Vista, CA, Michael Paciorek of San Diego, CA, Noelle Lewis of Rochester, NY, and Holly Lucas of Makati City, Philippines. No public visitation and private interment will occur at Bath National Cemetery, VA Medical Center, next to her loving husband. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Erie Center on Health and Aging, 406 Peach St., Erie, PA 16507.
