Obituary of Audrey Ferraro

Audrey Fae Zaun Ferraro Audrey Fae Zaun Ferraro, 87, of Erie, passed away Friday, September 02, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born September 7, 1923, to Shirley and Howard Zaun. She graduated from Millcreek High School in 1941 and studied English literature at Flora Stone Mather College and the University of Pittsburgh. Audrey married Joseph Ferraro on August 7, 1948 and devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother for 63 years. She also worked as the office manager for Thayer Power and Communication for many years. Her primary interest was American history and she remained an avid reader throughout life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Lois Power, Phyllis McLane, and Joyce Witt. Survivors include her husband, Joseph, her children, Dr. Kathleen Ferraro (Neil Websdale) of Flagstaff, AZ and Daniel Ferraro (Georgette C.) of Pittsburgh, her grandchildren; Kailey Johnson and Kyle Johnson, and nieces, Dr. Janice McLane and Dr. Betsy McLane. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. A funeral service will be held there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
