Margaret M. “Maggie” Nielsen Wells

 

 

Margaret M. “Maggie” Nielsen Wells, age 92, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at LECOM Senior Living Ctr. She was born in Erie on October 12, 1925, the daughter of the late James Andrew and Anna Kupper Nielsen. Maggie was a graduate of Strong Vincent H.S. with her good friend Ann B. Davis. She was employed as an operator at Bell Telephone, Loesel Decorating as a seamstress, and at the Boston Store as a clerk.  Maggie was a former member of the Cascade Club and the Sommerlyst Danish Club where she enjoyed many summers of camping. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, and her cats K.C., Wibbs, and her late cat Cousin Rudy. She was preceded in death by her former husband Robert A. Wells, one sister Betty Selkregg, one brother William Nielsen, and a son Donald Ericcson.

She is survived by two sons; Andrew Dorr Wells (Melissa) of Millcreek Twp., Ronald Ericcson of Millcreek Twp., grandchildren: Andrea Gregory (Mike), Danielle Fraschetti (David), Dale Fraschetti, Devin Wygant (Dennis), great grandchildren; Maddison, Noah, Camryn, Grace, Evelynn, Ellie, and Jaxsen and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Charlene Ray for the love and support she gave to our family before and after Maggie’s passing. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service.  Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphan Angels Cat Adoption Ctr., 5439 W. Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16505.
